Normandale Community College’s second AFA Art Exhibition will run from April 27 to May 7.
The exhibition started with a reception on April 27. This is the second of three AFA Art Exhibitions. The first one ran from April 13-23, and featured Anna Casperson, Andrea Cuadros Zúñiga, Andrew English, Sam Gonzalez, Dayton Mohling, Victoria Moron and Jane White.
The current AFA exhibition features Kit Beireis, Mason Blomer, Kaila Johnson, Abby Lenhardt, Hope Sandau and Jam Whitfield.
“This is one of three AFA exhibitions this year,” said Normandale Art Instructor David Luke. “That is a great thing, because means we have a lot art majors. We have 21 majors graduating this year, and we are excited to have three different opportunities to showcase our student’s amazing work. Our students put together a great first AFA exhibition from April 13-23. We invite people to stop by the Normandale Fine Arts Gallery through May 7 to see these art pieces, and then from May 11-22 for the third AFA exhibit.”
This year’s Art AFA graduating class is the largest in at least 15 years of the program.
There will be a third and final AFA exhibition will be from May 11-22, and reception will be Monday, May 11 from 5-7 p.m. That exhibition will feature Kayla Aksamit, Mac Kummel, Sarah Larson, Mallory McAllister, Chelsea Savoie, Macie Timm and MacKayla Uderman.
